With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we share the news that Landon Beckham, 13, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. In February 2023, when he was 11 years old, Landon went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure.
For the past ten years, Landon has bravely fought a brutal battle against neuroblastoma, a cancer that develops from malignant tumors originating in immature nerve cells.
Landon’s journey was one of persistent courage, unimaginable strength, and a gentle and loving spirit.
Landon held a special place in the hearts of the Bert’s Big Adventure families, staff, and everyone who had the honor of being in his orbit. He was kind-hearted, and everyone, especially the 2023 families, was drawn to him. He had a beautiful way of quietly taking in the room before opening up and showing his playful spirit.
Landon’s heart was as big as his soul, and his love for his family was unwavering. They, in turn, adored him so deeply. He leaves behind three younger siblings who idolize him. We know his gorgeous smile will live on through them.
Jessica, Landon’s incredible mom, summed up Landon’s tenacious spirit beautifully:
There is no other way to describe Landon. He was amazing in every sense of the word. Knowing Landon deeply enriched and forever changed our community. We are so grateful for the gift of his friendship.
In February 2023, during our 20th-anniversary trip to Walt Disney World, Landon and Moe built a beautiful bond. They spent every moment during our five-day journey invested in getting to know one another better—laughing, sharing, and bonding over their commonalities. The two continued to foster their meaningful relationship following the trip at reunions, and Moe even surprised Landon by giving the commencement speech at his elementary school graduation in May 2023.

Landon brought joy wherever he went, and his absence will be felt deeply in the hearts of all who knew him.
